BOOK AND PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Healthy aging designed for real-world performance.
New Jump Swing brings nutrition, movement, recovery, motivation, and healthy-aging education into one practical system. It is written for active adults, aging athletes, executives, and people rebuilding strength or endurance who want to preserve the ability to move, think, create, and live independently.
An integrated longevity system
The program treats healthy aging as more than a diet or exercise routine. It connects cardiovascular conditioning, muscular endurance, balance, mobility, coordination, mental focus, recovery, and sustainable daily habits. Rope jumping is part of the history, but New Jump Swing also includes rope swinging, rhythmic movement, walking, cycling, stretching, resistance work, and lower-impact adaptations. Jumping is not required for every participant.
PDN Vegetarianism: flexible, not dogmatic
PDN Vegetarianism is a plant-centered nutrition framework developed to meet the needs of the individual. It can accommodate fully vegan, lacto-ovo vegetarian, soy-free, bean-limited, sprout-centered, or other vegetarian patterns. Optional areas include apiarian foods, sea vegetables and algae, mushrooms, herbs, and food concentrates. The objective is complete, realistic nourishment—not forcing everyone to eat the same foods.
Nutrition for energy, recovery, and performance
The book explains how complex carbohydrates, adequate protein, appropriate fats, vitamins, minerals, fiber, hydration, and meal timing contribute to energy production, tissue maintenance, recovery, and long-term vitality. Nutritional needs are considered in relation to age, activity level, health status, digestion, athletic goals, and personal philosophy. A sedentary older adult and a highly active athlete should not receive identical prescriptions.
Movement that can grow with you
New Jump Swing emphasizes functional capability: maintaining balance, timing, rhythm, cardiovascular endurance, mobility, and confidence throughout life. The system can be practiced progressively—from gentle rope swinging and coordinated stepping to demanding jump-rope conditioning. This makes the underlying principles useful to beginners, older adults, experienced exercisers, and athletes seeking a creative cross-training method.
Mind-body cultivation
The program also examines relaxation, concentration, controlled breathing, perseverance, purpose, progressive goals, and self-confidence. Influences include internal martial-arts philosophy and the adaptable spirit associated with Jeet Kune Do. The emphasis is not combat. It is disciplined self-development—the cultivation of a healthier, wiser, stronger, and more capable human being.
A documented history of application
Donald Spiderman Thomas began publishing these ideas in 1977 and later used his health, nutrition, fitness, and motivational writings as the subjects of three Guinness World Records. His work has been taught from Harlem to Hawaii, in schools, health clubs, colleges, and community programs. The records were not unrelated achievements attached to the program afterward: the health message itself was the subject of the records.
The health message itself was the subject of the records. Donald Spiderman Thomas developed and publicly demonstrated these principles over decades through published work, teaching, athletic performance, and three Guinness World Records.
